Day 01 :

Kampala/Entebbe – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your Queen Elizabeth & Kyambura chimpanzee safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy a scenic drive through Uganda's lush countryside, with a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for the famous water experiment and photo opportunities. Continue through Mbarara town for a lunch stop before arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon. Check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner while taking in views of the park's savannah plains. Overnight at your Queen Elizabeth lodge. Meals: Lunch & Dinner.

Day 02 :

Game Drive – Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Rise early for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, the park's prime wildlife viewing area. With the help of your experienced guide, spot elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, and warthogs. The early morning hours offer the best chance to see predators on the hunt. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 32-kilometer waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. This iconic cruise offers close-up views of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and elephants drinking at the shore, along with abundant birdlife including African fish eagles and kingfishers. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 03 :

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge – Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, drive to Kyambura Gorge, often called the "Valley of Apes," for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. This lush, 100-meter-deep gorge is home to a community of habituated chimpanzees. After a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, descend into the gorge and trek through tropical forest trails, crossing streams and listening for the calls of chimpanzees. The trek can last 2 to 4 hours depending on the chimpanzees' movements, and once located, you'll spend one hour observing these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. After the trek, enjoy lunch and some leisure time. In the afternoon, drive to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. These lions often rest in the branches of fig trees, a behavior rarely seen elsewhere. Enjoy a game drive through this area in search of lions and other wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 04 :

Morning Game Drive – Return to Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, giving you one last chance to spot any wildlife you may have missed. Check out from the lodge and begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, with a stop for lunch en route. Arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Queen Elizabeth & Kyambura chimpanzee safari.
