This 4-Day Tanzania Express Safari is designed for travelers who want to experience the best of the circuit without spending a full week on the road. From the lush groundwater forests of Lake Manyara, famous for its tree-climbing lions, to the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Crater and the endless plains of the Serengeti, this safari delivers an incredible diversity of landscapes and wildlife. This is the perfect short safari for first-time visitors and experienced travelers alike.

This 4-Day Tanzania Express Safari includes round-trip transport from Arusha, all park fees, 3 nights’ accommodation at comfortable lodges and tented camps, game drives led by expert guides, and all meals. You’ll travel in a private 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof for optimal wildlife viewing. The itinerary is designed to maximize wildlife encounters in a short time, from morning game drives to afternoon wildlife sightings. Optional hot air balloon safaris are available in the Serengeti.

Day 01 :

Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

Your 4-Day Tanzania Express Safari begins with a pickup from your Arusha hotel. Enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but stunning park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Known for its lush groundwater forests, fig and mahogany trees, and large baboon populations, the park also supports elephants, giraffes, hippos, and diverse birdlife. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare and unforgettable sight. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park before settling into your accommodation near the park. Overnight near Lake Manyara. Meals: Lunch & Dinner.

Day 02 :

Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the Great Rift Valley, with Maasai villages dotting the landscape. Enjoy game drives en route as you travel through the park's endless plains, spotting lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and giraffes. Arrive at your camp in the Serengeti (Seronera area) for dinner and overnight. Overnight at your Serengeti camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 03 :

Full Day in Serengeti – Great Migration & Predators

Rise early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to witness predators on the hunt. Spend the full day exploring the Serengeti's central plains (Seronera area), known for its dense predator population, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and resident wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park while surrounded by wildlife. In the afternoon, continue your game drive, exploring different habitats and searching for species you may have missed. The Serengeti is also home to the Great Migration (seasonal), when over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebras move in search of fresh grazing. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight at your Serengeti camp. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 04 :

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive on the crater floor, home to approximately 25,000 animals including all of the Big Five. The crater's varied landscape includes rivers, swamps, lakes, and forests, offering excellent wildlife viewing. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the Hippo Pool before ascending and returning to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania express safari. Meal Plan: Breakfast.
